CASSANDRA LEINE

---- Out Of Character ----
Alias: Keylie
Code word: Aries had verified this. /nodnod/
Role Play experience: Years and years and years and years....Aaaaaand I'm shutting up now.
Role Play Example: (From HP site)
Keylie jogged up the steps to the owlery, having spotted her father's owl, Sonny, flying up to wait for her as usual. She hadn't heard from her father in months, although she wasn't really surprised, he always seemed to be so busy it was hard to expect him to always remember to write back in a timely manner.
Quickly reaching the top, she strode purposefully over to one of the small windows, where she found Sonny perched patiently. She smiled and stroked the bird's soft head then gently untied the scroll from it's leg. Taking a treat from her pocket, she fed it to Sonny before sitting on the window sill and getting comfortable. She could feel a slight heaviness in the letter, meaning it was both longer than usual and her father had enclosed something, using a charm to make sure it wouldn't fall during the delivery. Sonny came to her and perched upon her knee, looking at her curiously as if to ask why she hadn't already opened the letter.
Keylie gently untied the sea green ribbon from the scroll, tying it around her wrist with a little help from Sonny, where it rested with about six other variously colored ribbons from previous letters. She was a bit of a Daddy's girl, that was for sure, but she never took it to the extreme of begging for everything that caught her fancy. In fact, she barely asked for anything from her parents if she could manage to get it for herself.
Slowly unrolling the scroll, she grinned happily at what she found enclosed. She took out her wand and reversed the charm on the objects, just as her father had taught her for these special reasons. She tucked the letter beneath her leg to keep it in place for the time being as she held the two items that were in the scroll. Keylie giddily admired the gorgeous golden pendant her father had sent her. She could tell he had it specially made, as it had the figures of both her beloved horses on it, appropriately colored gems for their eyes, and an engraving on the back. The engraving read:
To my beloved Daughter, they miss you as much as you miss them. Now they are always with you. With Love, Father.
Keylie grinned widely and unclasped the chain, slipping it around her neck and re-clasping it with a few tries. Admiring it for a few more moments, she then picked up the second item. She smiled sadly, tears nearly coming to her eyes at the photo she held tightly in her hand. Her father had sent her a photo of her two horses running and playing in their field. They looked well groomed and taken care of, and she was sure that's what her father intended her to see when he decided to send it to her. She watched her horses run around in the photo for a short while before tucking it safely in her pocket and picking the letter back up again to read it.
Keylie,
I know it's been a few months since you've heard from me, my dear, and I'm terribly sorry. You know how busy it gets for me and I hope you can understand. Everything is fairly normal here at home, just as I hope everything is well for you at school. I've received all of your previous letters, so don't worry that they were lost.
Your mother, of course, is disappointed that you gained another detention, but from what you've explained, you seemed completely justified in defending yourself against your teacher's accusations. I've reasoned with your mother as best I could, but we both know she will hang onto this for a while yet.
I've enclosed a couple things I thought you'd like to have. I know you will try telling me it wasn't necessary to have the pendant made, but I also know that you need that comfort more than you'll admit.
Keylie smiled at this and continued to read the letter.
I'm proud of you, darling. You have been doing so well in school, and from what you've told me, you have been staying out of trouble more than previous years. I cannot wait to find out how you've done on your OWLs, I just know you'll do wonderfully. I have to cut this shorter than I wanted to, as work calls, but just know that I'm thinking of you always. I love you, my precious little girl.
Much love,
Father
Grinning once more, she tucked the letter away with the photo and gazed out of the window she sat at. She would reply to it later, giving Sonny a chance to rest before sending him all the way back with another letter. She stroked the beautiful owl's head and smiled at him, softly cooing a song to the bird that her father had taught her when she was a child.

Hopes/Dreams: Member of the Council -nodnod-
Personality: Cassandra likes pie. -nodnod- ANYWHO...
Cassandra is a musical genius, there isn't an instrument that she can't play. Well, she may play them a little amatureish, but better than most at their first try. She is sarcastic to the point where she might accidentally hurt someone's feelings. She is a tough tomboy with a badass attitude. She isn't 'nice', exactly, but she isn't the meanest girl on the block. She's the kind of girl that will football tackle you for a prank. She knows it's a joke, but she needs to keep up her reptuation for not taking any crap.
She's smart in her own way. Cassie can think through situations quickily, and is smart in that way. Street smart; not book smart. She is a good leader, but not a good follower. Yeah, she can't take direction. At all. In any way. She doesn't have a problem assessing the situation, then directing others to do what needs to be done even if she isn't the established leader. She will punch someone, but is not a bully. If you are smaller than her, she wont lay a finger on you no matter what, so you're okay if she comes around.
((200 words exactly!!!))
---- Backstory ----
Family: Jason Laine was a strong warrior (Eulria), with strong hands and dark hair. He was the town charmer, breaking hearts along the way --- that is, until he met Isabella Monte.
She was a small girl in a small town, and a feminist, too. She hated boys, as one had broken her heart. She was tough, and mean, yet petite. Jason fell in love with her, and tried to win her over every moment. Isabella Monte finally gave in when she had just graduated from school.
Isabella was still shaky about it, so she wouldn't go into anything serious with him. But Jason soon convinced her that he was hers, and hers only. So they dated, got married by the age of twenty, and Isabella was pregnant by the time she was twenty-two.
Unfortunately, their first child was a miscarriage. Isabella was depressed, swearing not to have another child because of the emotional pain.
A year later, she was pregnant again.
This time, she gave birth to a baby girl. They named her ''Cassandra'' because it means ''shining on mankind'', and they hoped that their baby would grow up and make an impact on the world.
When Cassandra was four, her mother left. Jason grieved, because Isabella had just left in the middle of the night. She had left a note, saying that she was scared of messing up the child that she loved so much's life by her hard presence.
For the years after, Jason was too sad to do anything. He left Cassie to do things herself, thereby shaping her rough personality. He would work all day, then come home and not pay a second glance to his daughter.
In school, Cassandra developed a hatred for her parents. Everyone else had parents come to the parents confrence, but she didn't. She hated having to make up a lie to the teachers on why he couldn't come, as she was to ashamed to tell the truth.
Cassandra tried stealing, fighting, and other kinds of misbehavior to try and get her dads attention, but it didn't work. After a few years of being the misfit at school, she stopped trying, just finding her own way.
To this day, Cassie hates her dad and refuses to speak to him. She wont accept help from anyone in the fear that they will let her down as her dad had done.
