GENERAL::
Time Straight takes place on a small island called Surrahn, hidden by human eye and by satellite. The only way to find it is to crash right into it. Magic users where forced to move there after a terrible war with the humans, in which both races where evenly matched with the humans who where plentiful, and the Magic Users who where stronger. And to keep peace, a female of high power is forced to come from the human world to Surrahn and marry a randomly-selected male. During that horrible war, the Council found a new kind of magic. Time Travel. Now they have found out how to use it and they allow other Magic Users to use it. But they have to have a meeting with the council, explaining their reasons while under a truth spell before.
PEOPLE GROUPS IN SURRAHN::
In Surrahn, there are four different people groups
So let's start with the Norm.
Norm's are everyday people. They are free to do any job they please. Hairdresser, author, ect. Although they are often looked down upon because most are Norm because of their lack of skill, their are some choice few who chose that path in life so they have freedom to do whatever they want.
Next there's the Eulria.
They are warriors. There are not many left because of the lack of war, but the few are looked up to. They are only the second to lowest rank because there is nothing for them to do, the positions may change if another war starts.
After that, there's Didacha.
Didacha's are teachers. Some teach Magic, some teach history, some teach fighting. They are looked up to so much for the fact that they supply every child with their job. They can pretty much teach whatever they want, there's no stupid curriculum they must follow in order to teach, they get total freedom.
And lastly, there's Council.
The Council are the most skilled in all the land. Male or female, but they are treated with the highest respect. They get chosen by the previous Council, then are in a competition to see which four people have the skills to step forward and take their seat. They are the people that small children look up to and their the ones who get the most respect. They call the shots around Surrahn, especially when Time-Travel is involved.
PEOPLE IN SURRAHN::
The people in Surrahn start their school at age three, start their profession at age fifteen and usually die by the time that their seventy. Because of the Magic in their body, it causes them to mature quicker, therefore making them live a full life by an age a human considers fairly short.
MAGIC::
Magic if different then in your average story. You can't just whip out a wand and make your dreams come true. It only increases the skill of whatever your trying to do and makes the finished product look better. i. e.
''Jani finished cutting Ashley's hair, but it looked terrible. She started to make it even while pumping magic into it, afterwards Ashley's new pixie-cut was great!!''
It only increases what you already can do. You can also give magic to someone else, by charging it through your fist and then holding their hand to transfer it to their palm.
